• The only access to our site is via an aerial cable car across the river. Our check in and out times are limited by the cable car.
• Check in is between 3pm – 7pm in the summer, 2pm and 5.30pm in the winter (or dark if earlier).
• Check out is between 8am  – 10.30am unless by prior arrangement.
• We recommend that you allow an hour to drive from either Whanganui or Raetihi to reach us.
• Our car park is not visible from the road and we have not had any problems with vehicles parked there. We do not have facilities to charge E vehicles.
• Whanganui and Raetihi are our nearest shops/takeaway/restaurants, however we do have a small shop on site for basic supplies, snacks, soft drinks and a selection of beer and wine.
• Breakfast, packed lunches and gift baskets are available by prior arrangement. An evening meal may be available for groups of 6 or more, please enquire when booking.
• There is no cell phone coverage anywhere in the Whanganui river valley however, we do have free wi-fi on site.
• Our whole site is a smoke and vape free area.
• We are mainly ‘off grid’ –  therefore we harvest our own water, all our toilets are composting and we have mains power to back up our own solar generation. We emphasise sustainability and provide bins for composting and recycling.
• Guests are expected to leave units tidy with dishes washed and put away, furniture returned to original position etc
• We are situated in the bush and you are likely to see/hear wild animals such as possum and deer on site.
• We are also a working life-style block so you may see/hear animals such as our cat, sheep and chickens.
• We do not allow dogs on site as we have kiwi in the bush.
