Nestled amongst avocados trees, on the edge of Koru Campsite, Kiwi Cabin provides a fun alternative to camping under canvas.
This hand-built cabin is constructed using the base of a pop-top camper and is an ideal base for one or two adults.
Kiwi cabin provides a cosy sleeping pod with a double bed. There is also plenty of room for sitting, eating and relaxing inside. This indoor space is complemented by a large covered deck with additional table and chairs. The cabin is fully insulated for warmth and has solar lighting. Whilst great for a quick overnight stop, hanging space and under seat storage make for a comfortable longer term stay too. All bedding, towels and tea towels are provided. Kiwi Cabin shares the kitchen and bathroom facilities of the campsite, although crockery and cutlery, pots and pans are included in the cabin.
Koru Campsite is a basic bush campsite but is laid out with plenty of space and native plantings. A communal fire pit and benches provide a great social area for the evenings. The recently extended kitchen shelter has cold running water, a two burner gas hob and BBQ. Alongside the kitchen is a covered seating area as well as outdoor tables and chairs. The campsite has two toilets and a shower room as well as a hot shower and a wood fired bath located in the bush.
